Sherwood Protocol
$WOOD. Entries #02 and #03 of the Genesis Volume.
Sherwood Protocol is the second token loaded into the Ponspedia Machine. Like Cash Cat it occupies two slots, at Common and Rare, and it is the higher-volume payout of the Genesis Volume in both.
The name is folkloric. The protocol has no redistribution mechanism of any kind, a fact its own documentation states in the first line, in bold, apparently pre-emptively.
Naming
Sherwood is named for the forest, not the outlaw, and the distinction matters to its maintainers more than it does to anyone else. The stated reasoning is that a forest is a commons that predates whoever is currently hiding in it.
This has not stopped anyone from making the other joke.
In the volume
$WOOD carries the bulk of the Genesis Volume's paid-out supply, both because its ranges are wider and because its two slots together account for 60% of draws. A spinner who pulls repeatedly ends up with a stack of timber and a story about a cat.
