Cash Cat
$CASHCAT. Entry #01 and #04 of the Genesis Volume.
Cash Cat is the first token loaded into the Ponspedia Machine and the first entry in the Genesis Volume. It occupies two slots — one Common, one Legendary — which makes it the only token in the volume that can be both the most ordinary and the rarest thing a spin produces.
The duplication was not a design decision. Cash Cat was loaded twice by accident and the Family voted to keep it on the grounds that it was funnier and also more honest about how luck works.
The two slots
Entry #01 pays 6–14 at a 35% chance. Entry #04 pays 56–131 at a 5% chance. Both dispense the same token. The difference is entirely in how much of it arrives.
Spinners routinely misread this as two tokens. The Machine does not correct them.
In the corpus
Cash Cat appears in Family writing as a stand-in for the ordinary outcome — the thing you get when nothing special happens. The Legendary slot exists to make the point that the ordinary outcome and the extraordinary one can be the same object at different volumes.
