Pons (from the Latin for bridge) is the founding figure of the Pons Family and the namesake of Robinhood Chain's oldest continuously running settlement layer. Accounts of Pons are inconsistent, and no contemporary record survives that is accepted by all branches of the Family. What is agreed is that Pons was the first to move value across a gap that everyone else had agreed was uncrossable, and then declined to charge for it.
